I have 6.5 year old twins and a 4.5 year old. The twins are possibly gifted (one in reading and the other in math) and the little one is not far behind. We completed the 4-5 year program last year. The twins were able to do some of the activities somewhat independently while I helped the 4 year old. She was able to complete all of the activities with the exception of the handwriting workbook pages. She did the alternate activities that involved constructing the letters but didn't involve writing with a pencil. My question is what program to do with my youngest for this next year. I think she would be terribly bored repeating the 4-5 year program although she didn't complete every activity from that year. But if I go ahead and move all of them forward to the 5-7 year program I feel like she will always be doing a program that is a little above her level. I feel like she is probably a year behind them/ not 2. Thank you for your help!

The 5-7 program is very different from the 4-5 and involves a LOT of pencil to paper. Your twins should likely be able to handle it but unless your 4 year old is writing independently or at least able to copy words you've written, I wouldn't try the 5-7 with the younger child. I'm in a similar position. I have a 7 year old who is not ready for the 7-9 but has already completed the 6-8 plus a 5 year old who is ahead and could likely handle the 5-7 and a 4 year old who has already completed the 4-5 but isn't ready for the 5-7. I really don't want to buy three different age groups so close to each other. The 5-7 and 6-8 are already very similar in what they cover. My older children will be doing 9-11 and 10-12 this fall but they do their schoolwork independently without much parent involvement other than prep work so it's not too inconvenient having them on close but different levels (other than having to store a complete second set of books). Anyway, I'm trying something other than MBtP for my three younger kids this year and then will cycle back to MBtP when they're all ready for the next level and I can keep my 4&5 year olds on the same level.
