Michigan Homeschool Laws
While you are not required to report your home school to the Michigan Department of Education, you may choose to report your school. It is also advised that you report your decision to home school to your local public school. This will avoid the unnecessary involvement of a truancy officer. Even if you choose not to report your homeschool, you will still have to adhere to the following requirements.As your student's teacher, you are required to hold either a teaching certificate or a bachelor's degree.
