A fun idea for The Two Bears is to give your child a piece of paper + pencil and ask them to draw the bear based on the description you read aloud. Start on pg 109 and then have them stop on pg 113 where they will learn it wasn’t a bear at all! Discuss the power of imagination and storytelling.

Have your child make an outline of a bear and then add any bear facts that are not part of the bear claw template in this unit. Have your child color in the bear's face.
Have your child draw a bear and have them add the setting for the bear, such as by a pond or in a cave. Mount their drawings onto card stock paper.

This is a nice site. You can watch bear videos and they have articles about diffferent kinds of bears. There is also a good article on hibernation. We found this website very useful.
