Lesson 2: Day 2

Need an idea for what to do with leftover tissue paper? - posted from Milpitas, CA

We ordered the materials kit and it came with a lot of tissue paper for the “A Tree for All Seasons” activity. My kiddo loves art. I happened to find a Monet art project using tissue paper. It’s not related to the book of the week but if you are looking to get rid of some tissue paper it’s a great project. It’s from Beth Gordon’s 123Homeschool4me site. We googled Monet’s paintings and looked at the images and then tried to recreate our own Monet style artwork with tissue paper. We glued ours with a glue stick onto a piece of art paper instead of a canvas. Great way to teach about different artists and style. Just needed to find some blue tissue paper since the material kit didn’t include that. Could be done anytime using this tissue paper. I actually still have some tissue paper left and I’m just storing it in my materials kit.
