Hi! I had a hard time finding the words for Lesson 1: Activity 3: Vocabulary. If you have the Harper edition of Poppy softcover revised edition, 2020, the words are on the following pages:
timid (ch 1) p. 3
clan (ch 2/3) p. 24
hesitate (ch 2/3) p. 78 is where I found it, not in ch 2/3
dignity (ch 4) p. 30
convince (ch 5) p. 40
urgent (ch 6/7) p. 54
conspiracy (ch 8/9) sorry didn't note it, but the sentence is "A conspiracy!"
livid (ch 10/11) p. 86
Hope that saves you some time!

book suggestion for lesson 1 - posted from Louisa, VA
The book is How The Forest Grew by William Jaspersohn. It tells how a forest starts out from a field then developes into a full forest over many years. It is informative about many species of trees and plants, but also goes into the phase where animals come to live in the forest because the environment became appropriate for their life form. The part of the animals fits Lesson 1, Activity 6 Forest Animals perfectly in my opinion. The book also fits the overall MBTP theme of cycles.
