Lesson 2: Parallel (and Other) Lines

New activity page for Activity 2 - posted from Durham, NC

The video previously used for Activity 2 is no longer available, so flags are now shown on an activity page. Here is the new intro for that part of the activity:

"Give your child the "Flags of the World" page, which shows a variety of international flags. On it, your child will identify parallel lines, intersecting lines, and perpendicular lines. She will also find that some flags have more than one type or have none of these lines. Make sure that she focuses just on the designs on the inside of the flag, not on whether lines are parallel or intersect with the square around each flag."

Answers:
Intersecting: Jamaica, Israel, Guyana, Czech Republic, Tunisia
Parallel: Nigeria, Mauritius, Israel, Austria, Botswana, United States
Perpendicular: Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, United States, Georgia
None: Japan
