Lesson 3: Day 3

Counting “You” - posted from ,

Every time we found the sight word “you” in our read aloud time my toddler added a cube to the link. At the end of the story we practiced counting the cubes out loud. We even extend the activity to skip count by 10 and some more

As we were reading one of our regular bedtime stories, my son was first to point out that "Guess How Much I Love You" has the word "you" in it! Excellent book which has the word "you" on every page, multiple times.

Thanks for the suggestion. My son is begging for his new sight words, so he can add it to the caterpillar.

Attached is the file I created to make the caterpillar with the MBTP site words. I cut out each shape and laminated them.

Sight Word Caterpillar - posted from Carrollton, TX

We are making a sight word caterpillar for the wall. Each week we will add a body segment with the new sight word of the week on it. We have our caterpillar walking up the wall along the stairwell. My son LOVES it and can't wait to put up next week's word. I used a CD to trace the circles for the head and body segments on construction paper and then cut and laminated them. Easy and fun!
