Lesson 1: The Andes Mountains

National Geographic Pictures - posted from Bainbridge Island, WA

We enjoyed looking at more pictures on the National Geographic website.

Grammar issue - posted from Bedford, NH

In this lesson, the rules listed for subject/verb agreement say that indefinite pronoun are always singular and therefore take a singular verb. This is not true. Some indefinite pronouns, such as "all", "some" or "none," can be either singular or plural depending on what they are referring to.

Ex: Some of the beads ARE missing. Some of the water IS gone.
