Constitutional Republic Vs. Democracy - posted from Merrill, WI
The USA is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. I found it important to supplement information on the difference between a Constitutional Republic and a Democracy. I am not adding a link, because I feel each parent would prefer to do their own presentation of the material, depending on the child's level. Just wanted to be sure those that care about this, have a heads up.

This is a webquest I designed for my children to go along with the unit on Power of the People. If you are not familiar with webquests, it's a project based learning method, where the students "go on a quest" to find out the information a teacher/parent has preselected from the web. The student follows the steps independently or in a team to do their own learning. I used the webquest with one son in the Ages 8-10 level, Concept 4, Unit 2 of Force and Power AND with the other son in the 7-9 level, Concept 4, Unit 2, Relationships.
