A nice book to read this week is Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman. The reason is because it mentions the sight word “not” many times in the book, especially on the last page. Also the whole book is sprinkled with sight words: you, he, go, said, no, saw, want, big, she, on, and out.

My son isn't too eager to sit and look at a book alone for Reading Workshop, but he was quite excited when I gave him a "point" for each capital identified.
