After looking at traditional Mexican art online, we settled on this website for examples. My daughter chose a tile pattern to emulate, she practiced on paper with makers and then we went to our local 'paint your own pottery' shop. They don't have tiles, so decided on a plate. The adventure ended with lunch at a (what else?) Mexican restaurant.
