Below is a link for the documentary "Voyage of the Lonely Turtle" about Adelita, a loggerhead turtle who made an amazing journey from Mexico's coastal waters to the shores of Japan (over a 9,000 mile journey) and the beach where she hatched. The DVD can be purchased from this site.
There is also a game and information that children will enjoy.

We already owned the book "One Tiny Turtle" (Read and Wonder) written by Nicola Davies. It's a good book and it was useful for the assignment on loggerhead turtles. We were really pleased to have a practical application for a book we've previously enjoyed together as a family.
