The Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Project
The Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Project presented by the National Endowment for the Arts and Poetry Foundation is a poetry recitation program for high school students. Its website includes this helpful guide for poetry recitation. You may want to review these guidelines and share them with your child.
The link is for a national poetry recitation contest that is typically based in schools (students who win at the school level go on to district, state, and national competition), but it is run by different state arts councils and at least some of the states have allowed homeschooled students to participate. This might be something that your older children may be interested in participating in. The contest is for high school age children.

Wrapping Up
The Stars and Stripes
From February 8, 1918, to June 13, 1919, by order of General John J. Pershing, the United States Army published a newspaper for its forces in France, The Stars and Stripes. This online collection, presented by the Serial and Government Publications Division of the Library of Congress, includes the complete seventy-one-week run of the newspaper's World War I edition.
