In this unit your child will look at how communities meet the needs of citizens. She will learn that citizens have jobs, earn money, and spend money to meet their wants and needs. By exploring communities in other parts of the world, she will recognize that all communities have similarities and differences. For the final project she will be asked to develop a tourist brochure that gives specific, important information about a community. This option provides online access to the Communities Around the World curriculum. You will also need the required literature for this unit.
