In this introduction to physics unit, your child will examine how to balance a variety of objects and examine when and where balances can be found and used. He will explore the movement of objects using force to push and pull, and he will also experiment with friction. He will understand the role of gravity on our planet, and for the final project, he will present a wordless skit where he will demonstrate balance, gravity, friction, and pushing and pulling. This option provides online access to the Balance and Motion curriculum. You will also need the required literature and manipulatives for this unit.
