Relationships Parent Manual
The Relationships Parent Manual is a nine-week, literature-based homeschool curriculum that engages students through hands-on learning. It integrates science, social studies, and language arts, helping students explore the relationships that shape our environment, literature, and history.
Key Features:
- Creativity: Students will construct ecosystems in a bottle, reimagine scenes through illustration, and make a "Famous Americans" book.
- Critical Thinking: Students will experiment on plant growth, engage in analysis of primary vs. secondary sources in historical contexts, and hunt vocabulary within literature.
- Hands-on Learning: Through activities like environmental scavenger hunts, building DIY weather stations, and creating personal timelines, students will learn by doing.
- Interdisciplinary Connections: From connecting genetics to personal traits, mapping the emotional and geographical journey of a porcelain rabbit, to understanding the impact of historical events, the curriculum seamlessly integrates multiple disciplines.
Each unit dives into ecosystems, literary journeys, and historical connections with activities like creating mini-ecosystems, analyzing characters, and building personal and historical timelines. This approach makes learning engaging and well-rounded. The curriculum is commonly used for second-grade homeschooling.
