Math Unit - Geometry (/Online)
by Caroline Eidson, Ph.D.
$7.50
This unit on geometry builds on your child's understanding of polygons and their parts and highlights a specific category of polygons: quadrilaterals. Your child will learn about the lines (parallel, intersecting, and perpendicular) that create quadrilaterals and will distinguish specific quadrilaterals (squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses and trapezoids) using their attributes. As well, your child will divide shapes into parts and will assign fraction names to these parts. For his final project, your child will create a story to share what he's come to understand about quadrilaterals.
